Use Influencer marketing to brand your self

Influencer marketing

Influencer marketing is a form of marketing in which focus is placed on influential people rather than the target market as a whole. It identifies the individuals that have influence over potential buyers and orients marketing activities around these influencers.

Influencer marketing is worth at least $1 billion, and it has grown up a lot this year, with more sophisticated data and tighter media contracts. But influencer marketing still faces problems like fraud and lack of sponsorship disclosures required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Using social media influencers in your marketing is the practice of building relationships with the people who can build relationships for you. Whether an influencer’s audience is small or large, an influencer can reach consumers via their blogs and social networks that your brand may not be able to. This will maximize the range of targeted individuals you would like to hit at very little or no cost!

What do you have to do to get influencers to promote your brand or product?

Obviously, you need to find the social media platform that fits your brand and product demographic. Look deep inside your self/brand and ask who, where and what are the people that will be using my product or service. How can I find them?

Let’s just say you have a niche brand that sells organic home-cooked meals. Now, who would you go after?  The people I would target would be people that exercise, people that eat healthy organic, people that shop at whole foods, people that don’t have time to make a home-cooked meal.  People on the go, large families, people that make over 150k a year and so on.

Now search for influencer or blogger that is related to this demographic. EX: trainers, entrepreneurs, working parents, business executives,  people with diabetes or health issues.

Once you find the influencers DM them and write something compelling stating what you do and ask them if they would like to embark on a journey with you to help people with their diet, or maybe help them with time management. People are busy and it is hard to eat healthy when you’re on the go.

Do this until you find your industry influencer and give them a sample. Not everyone will want to come on board, so don’t get frustrated just keep farming to your goal. Plus people like free products especially if its healthy tastes great!
